EBE Parents and Families,

This has been an amazing year school year!
Despite the challenges of the pandemic and tornado damages, your child engaged in meaningful academic activities, participated in new formats of learning (virtual), and made new friends along the way.
I appreciate all of the hard work that was put into making this a successful school year. It truly takes all of us working together to give our children the best education possible.
We have accomplished so much and will achieve more in the coming school year.

As your child moves to the next grade level, there are some very important things you can do to help them succeed.
Spend quality time talking with your child doing activities that you can enjoy as a family.  Read to and listen to your child read. Ask questions, make predictions and make life to text connections as you read. Practice essential math skills learned this school year.
For example, pose a math problem for your child to solve while at the grocery store. Help your child develop a sense of working and solving problems independently.
Encourage your child to write often!  Writing stories, letters, and journal entries are great ways to get thoughts organized and put onto paper.  These are just a few ideas of ways to help your child prepare for the coming school year.

Thank you for sharing your children with us!  I look forward to seeing you in August!
