Principal's Corner

November/December 2020

EBE Parents,

I hope your school year is off to a great start. It is hard to believe the first nine weeks are over. I’m so proud of our amazing teachers, students and parents. The teachers are working diligently to provide your child with a challenging and rigorous education. As we move deeper into the school year, the work will inevitably become more complex and involved. The teachers will continue to teach essential standards and skills. Here are a few updates and reminders:

·      You will receive your child’s progress report on November 20th. Congratulate his/her good work and offer support and encouragement in those areas where he/she needs it. If you have any questions or concerns about your child’s performance in class, please be in direct contact with the classroom teacher.

·      Thanks to all of the parents who support good attendance and arrive to school on time. Good attendance and starting the day off prepared for learning impacts your child’s educational performance.

·     Arrival and dismissal are going well. Please continue to show courtesy for staff members and other parents by consistently following arrival and dismissal procedures. In addition, school safety is a top priority. Thanks to all of you who work to maintain a safe and orderly environment.

  • Dates to remember- November 11th is a remote learning day. November 23rd-27th school is closed due to the Thanksgiving holiday. Winter break is December 21st-January 6th.  School will reopen on January 8th.

Thank you for entrusting us with the education of your child. I look forward to working with you as we continue to build on this great learning community!
