Our History

East Brainerd Elementary was founded in 1912 at it's longtime location on East Brainerd Road.  Our student population grew as the East Brainerd community grew.  The 2011-12 school year brought changes with our 4th & 5th graders moving into the old David Brainerd Christian School, which is the same property location of our new school. This school was named East Brainerd Intermediate School.
Construction began for our present school in 2013, as our 4th & 5th graders enjoyed watching the construction process as they studied!
The new East Brainerd Elementary School proudly opened in August 2015 with just under 1,000 students.  Today our student population is over 1,200 students, making us the largest elementary school in Hamilton County!
